What counts as an event
Every webhook received on your /h/<id> URL counts once — whether it matches your conditions, is skipped by them, or is deferred by quiet hours. Delivery retries never count as new events.
Questions
What happens when I hit the monthly limit?
Nothing breaks. Events keep flowing and the usage page shows the overage. If a Free workspace runs over month after month, we'll ask you to move to Pro — we never silently drop your webhooks.
How do I upgrade, and can I cancel?
Upgrade from the usage page in the dashboard — it opens a Stripe checkout, and your workspace switches to Pro as soon as the payment confirms. To cancel or change your payment method, use Manage billing on the same page; the workspace returns to Free at the end of the period.
Is my configuration portable?
Yes. Hooks are plain hooksmith/v1 YAML files that live in your repo. The cloud runtime only executes them — delete a hook and its URL is gone, and your YAML stays yours.
Do I need the cloud to develop?
No. The CLI and TUI are local-first: author, test and iterate on hooks entirely on your machine. You only need the cloud runtime when you want a public /h/<id> URL that receives real traffic.
